On 10 August last year, I went around and depressed that I was not on the Way Out West and wondered if anyone could be more bitter than what I currently was. But at the same day took the Scottish band The Shakedown Project to release their incredible debut album and make me happy! “Tell Me What I want” is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard garage. It mixes classic garagrerock with psychedelic influences and summery riffs, creating a soundstage full of sound, without becoming mushy when sounds settles as layer upon each other and create a whole. Song-wise, delivers Kris Mitchell crazy good by advancing the desperation and despair found in the text without letting it take over and only be a contrast to the riffs and bright chorus. The Shakedown Project deserves greatness!

It’s a trio of basement. They are kids and without fear, accuse their influences, which are clear. Shakedown The Project find themselves in Tame Impala and White Stripes, but have their own lighting and power. Glasgow center, a date of current rock bands is their hometown and have aggression and passion, their words by raw music. Their EP is available for download on bandcamp and single Silver Crystal Ships Grip is to stay with neck pain.
